Wow, looks like the company Eagle Eyes is making both clear and smoked LED taillights for 08-10 HL owners!

Anyone wanna be the guinea pig? :D I am not interested in their headlights (since I retro'ed mine), but this looks pretty neat. Looks like the turning part is still regular bulbs (good time to upgrade to LED's) There are $250 a pop on eBay.

wow those look great. I don't think the 7440 bulb thats in the turn signal now is amber. So if anyone gets this, make sure you get amber turn bulbs (7440A). Because it looks (from the pics) that the turn signal is clear on these taillights, and not tinted yellow like the stock ones. But besides that i wish i have $250 i could spend on my car right now :D

Man those look awesome!

Seriously tempted to pick up a set right now!

Just wanna wait and see what the fit is like...I know back when after-market LED tailights came out for the Grand Prixs everyone jumped on them and the fit was terrible. Lets hope this isnt the case!

For those of you that are ordering them let us know how they are!

they said doesn't fit hybrid models. But don't we all have the same taillights? Thought it would be the 2011's that might have slightly changed layout.

Why won't it work with hybrid models? I was so about to click on the buy now button.

I noticed that too, found it very odd myself.

And man the bug has bit me. I kept going back to ebay today to look at them...think I might bite.

Anyone have any expirence with Eagle Eye products before? I did a quick google search, people seem pretty happy except for a few BMW owners who get some type of error message with their taillights.

The feedback the seller has recieved on ebay seems pretty good aswell, lot of people are happy with them, althought I saw a few that said you get what you pay for....mind you non of this was HL specific.

Also, anyone notice in the picture with the lights actually on there is only one strip lit on the bottom, whereas the picture with the lights off shows three L.E.D. rows on the bottom of the tailight? I emailed the sender asking if he knows about the light patters and also about a turn signal....lets see if I get a reply.

What I'm kinda worried is the quality of the LED bulbs. I purchased high quality LED brakes socket bulbs for the highlander before winter. And it couldn't last over the winter. One side the parking brakes won't turn on, only the step on brakes, the other side, the step on brakes won't turn on, only the parking brakes. Think the extremely cold winter weather killed them somehow.

With those, I just simply replace them with my original bulbs, but with these, it'll be a whole new replacement assembly. Seen some other cars with LEDs that's missing 1 or 2 lights, really sux if it happens here.

The L.E.D. "bulbs" are notorious for not functioning properly when a light bulb has two seperate functions. In this case our tail lights have a running light and a brighter brake function, so that might be what caused your problem, not the cold weather.

I can't imagine that being a problem with these tail lights, since they are actually real L.E.D lights and not a bulb made to look like a L.E.D light.

I should be getting mine today but I won't be working on it until this weekend since I am waiting on all the LED's and have to go by Radio Shack to get the resistors to avoid hyper flash.

I was trying to decide if I should go with the silver chrome amber incandescent bulbs or LED's so that's why I ordered the LED's so late... :headbang:

I will definitely take pictures when I get them on though!

So far it's not that bad. Pretty straight forward. The worst part is that I got fatty hands (5'11, 190 lbs :D) and it's hard to reach into tight spaces.

As far as the bulbs go, they do include a pair of amber turning bulbs (7440), and I think I am going to take the LED route. You will need 2 921 for reverse LED bulbs, and 2 7440 for turning LED bulbs and some 50 ohm resistors.
