Can you hear the motor try to slide the motor or does it just feel like it doesn't even try? Recently disconnected or change the car battery?

 

I changed the alternator a few months ago.

The rack may need some greasing. Doesn't look like you answered Kingdom's question as to hearing the motor. Motor could be shot, fuse blown, or there is something impeding the motion (needs greasing or something is jamming the track(s)). If you can hear the motor working that helps narrow it down a bit.

I think mine would get temperamental at times.

 

I cant hear the motor at all when i press the button, but the tilt works fine, which is weird.
So i dont think its the motor or fuse.

 

There's a reset procedure that may help. It's here on tn somewhere if you search. You'll find a lot of garbled info that tells you to hold down a sequence of buttons, that's the page. Mine wouldn't find park unless you tapped on the buttons, worked for me.

Maybe check the roof console. The tilt down feature stopped working on my 2007 Camry with sunroof. I ended up replacing the whole roof console and that fixed my issue.

 

Minded this 2 years ago. I had to buy a rebuild kit online just over $100. Take out the headliner remove the sunroof assembly install all the new plastic guides put it back in and it'll work perfect. For some reason the plastic guides break I think you have the same problem I did.
