They are rightly called switchbacks. I'm not quite sure on their application on a 6.5gen. I have a 2009 CAmry. I did a reverse light switchback with CREE LEDs. I use switchbacks for my rear blinkers. They are tapped into the reverse lights, when i'm going back they are all white light, when i'm turning its yellow.

Maybe not called switch backs but that's all I heard them. Called as but they are the lights like in the new audis they are white normally but when you turn your blinker on they blink orange and not white until your blinker turns off

 

OK, says the dummy out here in left field, what is a 'switch back' and what does it do to/for the lenses?
