I have this issue where my third brake light works only sometimes in my 2012 Camry. I'm not entirely sure if this will cause me to get pulled over or not, so I would rather be safe than sorry.

Update: I still have not been able to get this issue fixed, however I have noticed something. My third brake light has been working intermittently and when the 3rd brake light works, the ABS, Brake and Traction Control light do not show up on my dash. When the 3rd brake light doesn't work, those warning lights come on in the dash. I've tried looking down near the brake pedal, and under the dash. to see if anything looked strange, and I saw nothing. Could it possibly be a faulty brake light switch?

You need to have the vehicle scanned to see if there are any trouble codes for ABS/TRAC/VSC, BCM etc etc. You have a car with multiple control modules all connected in a network-CAN-. You probably cannot fix it by just looking. Welcome to the age of owners being able to do less home repair maint. The automakers love it.

Test the voltage level at the 3rd break light connector when the light doesn't illuminate during depressing the break pedal and with that knowledge determine the next course of action.
You may also what to apply a direct voltage to the light from a battery source, keep repeating to see if the light intermittently fails
