I wanted to ask you all about these:

Does anyone have these? How are they holding up? I like these as opposed to the ones another Toyota dealership is selling on line or MIT (light bars to left and right of fog light housing.

Also, has anyone upgraded the bulbs in your fogs to make them brighter without buying a HID kit? I'm not interested in upgrading to a HID kit. Please share what bulbs you bought. In the past, Phillips zXe's were awesome. Thanks, everyone.

I'm kind of surprised no one really commented. These could fit on 2012-14. I always like to consult with owners first before buying. Remember, when you buy cheap, you get cheap. I believe in spending good money for good quality as long as it lasts.

Thanks for answering me Ronny.

That pic is of an LE not an SE. A few other members and I myself have that kit installed on our cars. I've had mine for nearly a year now and the LED bar is always on and is still just as bright and holding up fine. However if you do find an SE kit by Auer automotive, look on eBay first, I got mine for $100 from them rather than the full price.

The fogs however, I bought Morimoto XbLED fogs from TheRetroFitSource and haven't gone back to halogen since.

NotSoFast: I really wanted the LED set that I provided a link for, but it seems they can only be installed for LE's and not SE's. I do like your LED light bars, and have considered them as well.

Question: I'm limited on cash right now and picking and choosing what upgrades I want carefully. I'd like to brighten up the fog bulbs if possible without an HID conversion. I've used Philips ZxE's in a Sentra I owned as the Nissan stock bulbs were pitiful. What do you recommend as a step up for brightness? I have lousy night vision, need a boost in light output. Thanks.

Can't go wrong with LED bulbs for the fogs if you want the brightness.
I went the expensive route by buying the XbLED fogs. But I'm sure replacing just
the bulbs would work just as well if you're not looking to spend a lot of money.

Do you have a part# or link? I did not see the ones you mentioned above in closeout unless they sold out. Incidentally, what xbled part# did you put into your Camry?

I've seen output pictures of those, very similar to the pictures in the thread too.

There is excessive foreground light, which prohibits distance vision. And there is no hotspot on the cutoff which also hurts distance vision. Both are common for PNP LEDs.

I'll give you props for at least not buying them through VLEDs, with their ridiculous cost of them.

Thanks dude. I will say that I haven't regretted spending money that I have on my lights even a little bit.
I've actually been thinking to adding some more LEDs to my front end but haven't figured a way to not have it look like overkill.

My fogs are not bulbs they are Separate Solstice units I welded up mounts for myself. Totally sealed and waterproof, I have driven through flood waters with them on several times. They were the brightest and the best performance per watt you could get when I got them a few years ago.

No what I said was they look like the ones Moose got. The ones in the thread you linked are from xenon depot with copper braid as a heat sink. Mine have fans. Moose talks about them and his results in the thread I linked.

No one answered the one question I did have, although I know the difference between LED and HID is heat and energy consumption.

I have a problem with night driving in as so much that if it rains or snows, My vision is poor. No, I am not blind. I just wanted to know which one would be best for vision and brightness.

Thanks to those who have contributed.

You want something that is yellower and more halogen color for rain and bad weather driving.

Most leds will be 5000k or 6000k or higher and will not be what you are looking for.

Hids in your fogs you also don't want because they will glare and blind others.

Since you are looking for bad weather driving lighting in the fog reflector I would just stick with a halogen bulb. If you want more light from the bulb, you can mod an h9 to fit the h11 socket.

I agree with the above few comments. Although I love that look of my setup, I honestly sometimes can't even tell if my lights are working in wet driving conditions. I turn my lights off and back on to make sure. Lol.

All of you have been very helpful with the brands and selection I am planning to make. I love these message boards; especially when people are willing to share their experiences and what has worked well for them.

Thanks again for everyone that provided input and will keep you all posted with what I get. I'm excited to mod my Camry SE so it does not look like every other SE out on the road. I like to be different and stand out a bit from the crowd, but not TOO much. I am, after all, an introvert.

Did my installed, aim, drove day/night.....it's not as good as my OEM HID.

The foreground light is a bit too much compare to the distant light.

Reason I got LED cause I am tired of changing the bulb, it's costly and I feel I have to change it annually. So hoping this LED will be last time I change. Also this LED run a bit too hot for my liking. I hope it lasts.
