Hi All, Has anyone successfully installed an intermittent wiper switch in a 2015? I cannot stand the Hi and Low speeds that it has. What is the part number? Was it an easy install? Is that all you need is the correct switch? Please help.
Thanks XOXO 11/05/19
The dealership claims that they do not put in "after market" parts even though the part comes from their part department but they cannot guarantee that if they install it that it will work. What's up with that?

Welcome to TN! Since the search feature here is iffy following the change, I'm gonna send you to Tacoma World. Go there https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/2nd-gen-tacomas-2005-2015.5/ and enter "intermittent wiper switch" in the search window. You'll get a bunch of threads (at least one refers you back here to a TN thread) with part numbers and other info that should help you.

Welcome Linda Linda to the ToyotaNation. ?‍♂ I have not got a complete answer to your question. But as to "why" a dealership won't usually install aftermarket-even Toyota- parts is that the guys and gals in the service department have to work on cars for the type of job (i.e. fixing an engine fault light, changing the fan belt, etc. etc.) and they have a "rate book" that tells them how long they have to do a particular job. Installing completely new parts such as you describe is not in "the book" , also there is no accurate way they can know how much time and any extra parts they may need to customize your truck and still maintain the factory warranties. This is why specialty shops exist ( for lift kits, new wheels/tires etc.) At least all of this is what I've been told by dealerships I've dealt with over the years. However there is a bunch of knowledgeable people on this site and they likely will have a better answer for you, or even how you could do this your self. ;)

Easier way is to go to the sticky up top, go to DIY post, then Ctl F search for wiper.

Should bring you here.

Don't use that one. It searches the Entire TN site. Worthless for most things

Top right, right of your avatar is three dots, last choice on the pull down is Advanced search. Set it to Tacoma and save yourself lots of pain.
