The biggest issue you can have is with the ECU. You can fit any engine into any car with enough experience and resources but the ECU will be an issue since our 11th gen rolla ECU is yet to be hacked for public release.

 

if you do the swap, do not forget to include a flux capacitor

Should just get an 05 xrs then, I'm guessing that's a swap in its own and cheaper ?? MY biggest thing is the cvt, how will that affect the swap?

 

I've seen a 10th gen with a 2ZZ swapped in so it's possible for sure. Fitment won't be the issue but making the engine work with the rest of the car's electronics is where you'll have to pay more attention to.
