I drive a 2018 Toyota Corolla IM with 141, 000 miles. I have never changed the CVT fluid. I ask the serious advisor at the Toyota dealership when to get it changed and they say not to. Even printed out a document of intervals indicating when it should be changed and it only lists if the vehicle has been doing a lot of Towing. I drive the car a lot across the State of Florida to see family just why it has so many miles on it. I want to keep the car for another 150,000 miles. I'm concerned not sure what to do?

You can do a drain and refill, I would if the car's a keeper. Make sure to use the correct fluid for CVT and to the correct level. The manual doesn't describe it but probably the FE fluid (or maybe the CT I don't know). Check on rockauto.

Also consult a reputable local shop if needed: ATRA - Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association
I don't know why Toyota makes it so difficult to look up the spec, particularly for something like this.
They have TC, FE... and you're saying they also have CT?
As discussed in another thread, Amsoil apparently now does return a search result for their TC/FE fluid on the Corolla... a year ago when I checked, they did not recommend it, so apparently they more recently added the FE spec?

The spec of these fluids should be listed in the owner's manual just like the oil weight.

I would definitely recommend replacing it every 30-40k miles, The fluid degrades over time and eventually will cause the internals to wear. When you do a drain and fill on these only about 2qts comes out if they drop the pan it is around 4qts because the rest of the transmission holds the remaining amount. I would say at minimum do a drain and fill every 10k to get some of the old fluid out and some fresh fluid inside.

you could even go as far as sending a sample of the old fluid out to get analyzed and they can tell you the state of the remaining fluid in the transmission.

Conservative recommendations are 60,000. My dealer was hesitant to change mine at 80, claiming they normally didn't recommend it until 100k, but I was in for the CVT recall so they agreed to do the fluid change.
30,000 is overkill for this transmission under normal driving conditions... that's akin to 3,000 mile oil changes. Won't hurt anything, but it's a waste of time and money.
Conversely, these are not lifetime fluids, and the absolute max I would go is 120,000 when the plugs are changed.

Here we go again... I suppose no-one looks thru the stickies at the top of the page

I changed my CVT fluid for the first time at 168k miles. The drain plug was fused, so I had to get a new pan, plug, gasket and filter.

To my surprise the magnets had minimal debris, nothing large, just fine dust(which is normal).

I changed the filter and since the pan was off it took about 4-5 quarts of new fluid. I used Amsoil CVT fluid and I swear it feels as if shifts smoother and generally performs better(which could be a placebo effect just to be transparent). Had mechanics harping on me saying I would destroy my transmission If I changed the fluid, but I took the risk anyway.

I have 183k miles on it now and going to do another filter and Amsoil replacement(and check the magnets) I use nothing but Amsoil now. From engine oil, to oil filter, radiator fluid, etc. They have my support for life.

Massive props for tackling that filter changed. I did it once, and I’ll just do frequent fluid change. It’s a pita to do filter changed. But I’ll be sticking with Toyota fluid CVT-FE since the fluid is made in Japan. Just me

I have 2015 Corolla (with CVT) and I was researching this few months ago when it has 55,000 miles.
Based on my research here and internet, most perform it when it is around 100,000 miles and in internet, there are
people change it at around 60,000 miles but the fluid come out pretty new. Of course, fluid color something does not means anything unless you send it out to analysis. Last time when I called dealership, it is not cheap (few hundred) and I am sure it is much much higher now due to inflation/shortage of labor/material import delayed....etc ; however, I believed it is time to change it for peace of mind.

If you can DIY, do it yourself as in this video below. And if the car's a keeper, change it.

And use Aisin branded fluid (Aisin is a Toyota group company). For the CVT transmission, it's Aisin ATFTFE $8.39/qt.

I went to my local Toyota dealership and asked my Friend, that's also their service manager, he said that it's a "sealed" system, that there is no need to change the CVT Fluid.
I change all of the oil, filters, and the like at, or close to their recommended intervals... Toyota says that it's not required... after 300K miles, I think they might know a thing or two...
