2018 Highlander Hybrid XLE Sparkplugs impossible to repalce

The dealer told me that it would cost $1,000 to replace my spark plugs because you have to remove the plenum and throttle body. I watched a few YouTube videos and decided it was doable. The front three plugs were really easy. I removed the plenum and replaced the rear driver's side plug easily. My model was sold new in California and is equipped with CA emission equipment.

The passenger side plugs are not accessible because of a metal plate holding an EGR valve. So it looks like the stainless EGR tubes and metal plate (held by four bolts, one of which is inaccessible) that holds it in place would have to be disassembled and removed to get access to the last two sparkplugs. This was more than I was ready to take on, so I did not change two of the six plugs.

Am I missing something, or did Toyota really make it this hard to change the plugs?

65k miles. Runs well with no symptoms. Just trying to follow Toyota recommend maintenance.

You should have read this first: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/highlander-hybrid-spark-plug-change-procedure.1718005/
You will find detailed info on how to do this.
Dealer told me at 60,000 miles that you are supposed to change the plugs, but he recommended I wait until after 100,000 miles because of the cost. Iridium plugs are supposed to be good for 120,000 miles. I'm at 100,000 miles and I am thinking of doing it.
Yes, this shows the same problem I have. No one has offered a solution though.

Just happened to see your thread while replying to a similar thread for the 3rd HiHys. Take a look at this video that might help on removing the EGR and bracketry. Going to be trying this part myself later today.

UPDATE: Not too difficult to get under the vehicle (even without it being raised) to remove the 2 bolts holding the EGR bracket on that back head so you can move the EGR out of the way to get to plugs 1 and 3.
