I probably would have bought the 2019 Highlander already if not for the uncomfortable driver's seat. I'm tall, 6'5", and between the low roofline (esp. With moonroof), short range on the telescoping steering wheel, hard leather seats at the Sport trim I tested, and 2-way lumbar support that just digs into my back, I couldn't get comfortable. I would love to hear impressions from people who see the 2020 about how the new driver's seat compares (the Highlander won't be out near me for a few more months)

Thanks!

I am 6'2, and found the seats very comfortable on the test drive with the 2020 Highlander Limited. Enough leg room as well...no problem. In fact, this is an important issue for me as well to have comfortable seats, leg room, and head room. The only problem I had was getting the driver's door shut...took three tries....this was also several person's issue. Not sure what's up with that.

I'm 6'5" as well and st in a 2020 Limited yesterday. I did not have a problem, though my torso is not particularly long or short.... very average-ish. I know the sunroof causes a loss of like an inch or two, but I did not feel like it impacted the cabin height or that I was hitting my head. Granted, I just sat in the thing... got in/out once or twice and did not test drive it.

Also, the captain's chair on the passenger side fit me fine.

I used to have a 2020 Platinum...but now I have a 2022 Platinum (dealership upgraded me for less). I am 6'7" tall. And the only thing I didn't find comfortable with my 2020 was the seat. After driving for a few hours my tail bone would start to hurt. In my 2022 I don't have that problem. The sun roof doesn't bother me, I still have lots a clearance.

You know you can lower your drivers seat down right?

I am 6'5" and drove our 2021 XSE from Fort Lauderdale to North Georgia with no issues. Granted my car is an Infiniti Q50 which sets the bar on space rather low. Overall I have been very impressed & comfortable with the Highlander and if we didn't already have one I would buy one. I even offered to take the Highlander and let my wife take my car or trade it in for something else. That was met with a blunt NO, lol

Best advice would be to rent one if you can. We did that with a 4Runner, Rav4 and Audi Q5.
