There is. On the side of the grille(I believe the driver’s side) there a little cover with a slot to put a flat screw driver in and pop it out.

 

if your car was made in the US, you do not have tow hook access

 

So mine was made in Japan, but still not seeing the cover for the slot on the grill

 

I just found it now on mine, thanks to your photo... Can you see the dark line on your left of the second highest closed honeycomb on your far right (driver's side)? There's another crack by the one just below it too.

Use you finger and push in along the right side of the grill. You should feel a little give. It’s the far right three and the four next to it. I had to do this to find the gap because it was so flush from the factory.

 

How dafaq do you open that?

There is a small band on bottom, seems like it's holding the cover. If you break that, would the cover stay closed?

I'm not sure, but looks like it has interlocking tabs on the back side?

 

I have a 2021 apex, I almost completed the Cusco tow hook purchase. So US built sedans don’t have the cut out? 😭 btw mine was built in Mississippi.

 

Mine was too, I think they all were/are (apex's built at TMMMS)
