2021 Toyota Camry transmission problems can show up as shifting delays, grinding or jumping during acceleration, the car shaking on the road, or a burning smell or whistling sounds coming from under the hood.

Toyota says there are no bulletins or recalls for the transmission but I’m experiencing all these since I purchase it new.

Bulletins aside, you need to get a tech to drive with you and hear the grinding noises. No bulletins can't be an excuse, there is always that first time issue.

I have 2020 AWD and no issues at 11k miles and actually trans works much better then 2018 FWD that I also have.

I wouldn't let go, contact Toyota corporate.

Take it back and have the tech ride with you and witness these issues. Save the paperwork from each visit to keep a paper trail of your attempts to fix the issue. If the dealer that you're taking it to can't or won't fix the issue- then take it to a different dealership or call Toyota Corporate.

IIRC there is supposed to be an ecu update for the 8 speed. It’s been happening to me as of late also. the weather just switched to 30’sF. im gonna call the dealer tomorrow if it happens tomorrow morning. everytime your vehicle doesnt throw an CEL you always have to bring a tech or advisor for a ride. ALWAYS.
