2024 Corolla Seats are uncomfortable

I have driven Toyotas and Hondas my whole life but these seats are the worst. The seat bottom presses against my sacrum and pushes my tailbone forward. I can always feel pressure against my upper butt, but my weight should be on my lower butt. I only drive about an hour at a time, but I'm not looking forward to making long road trips. Has anyone found a good seat cushion to help with comfort and proper lumbar support? If I add any thickness I will have to creak my neck sideways to get in the car.

I kind of suspect it is a general problem with all cars made after the year 2005ish and not necessarily the seats. Specifically the insanely forward mounted A-pillars and the high mounted hood and dashboard that cause piss-poor visibility. Done to reduce aero-drag to meet the idiotic emissions regulations. All of which prevents the driver from assuming a natural comfortable position and seeing out. I have driven several post 2005 year cars from different manufacturers and always had the same problem with stretching my neck and having back pain. Never had the problem with any car from the '90s.

The only work-around that I have found is to lean back substantially, for longer highway trips. For city traffic and precision maneuvers I sit up as straight as possible to see anything close around the car. That position is a torture for the neck after more than about 1 hour. On the highway you look much further ahead so it is OK to almost lay on your back. I am 5'9" tall so fairly average.

Drove for 3.5 hours with heavy traffic without rest stop. Yeah the seat isn’t great. Neither as my Highlander limited from 05’ or any economy car but I use a compact pillow to support my lower back. I’m 6 ft 3” tall w/ long torso. Yeah it a “bandaid” but still better than without it.
