2025 Camry SE - possible to use wired Apple Carplay? Smartkey for trunk but not front doors?

2007 Honda Accord Value Package finally kicked the bucket and traded in for a new 2025 Camry SE FWD. My question is:
1) Apple Carplay wireless connection drops intermittently. Is it possible to use a USB-A to Lightning Charger Cable to do wired Carplay?
2) Strange that this car has smartkey for the trunk and push button start but no smartkey for the front doors?

I guess I'll be using the key fob to open the front doors just like my former 2007 Honda Accord.
Unfortunately, the LE/SE are the base models, so as such, they lack the features of the higher trim models. As someone that has had full Smart Key access since my 2007 Camry, I'd have a hard time going back to having to pull out a key fob to unlock the door. For $600, the Convenience Package seems like something that I would insist on if I were getting an LE/SE. I probably would want the auto-dimming mirror and Homelink feature too- as I've had those in my vehicles since that 2007 Camry too.

Where can I get 0w-8 motor oil aside from dealer? I don't see it on the Advance Auto parts web site?
Walmart apparently sells 0W-8 motor oil for $28 (5 QT).

I think that over the next year or two as more and more carmakers move to 0W-8, more and more retailers will begin to carry it.

The same thing happened about twenty years ago when Toyota moved to 0W-20 for some of its models. Initially it was hard to find and costly- but after a few years you could find it at every big-box retailer and auto store.

I highly suggest considering getting the Smart Key System if you can swing it. It's so very convenient.

Yes, wireless Carplay frequently disconnects. It is mostly unusable.
Weird. Mine never disconnects. Occasionally it doesn't connect at startup, but if it does connect, it doesn't disconnect.

Same here with my XLE. Perhaps those with issues have an LE or SE with the smaller screen unit? Mine does not automatically connect mainly if I ue remote start because the phone is not in Bluetooth range when the head unit boots up.

Try pressing the volume knob in until the unit resets. See how that works. Make sure WiFi and Bluetooth are on on your phone. Don’t use the remote start if you want it to connect. You may have to go to devices- select your connected phone and select Bluetooth, then apple CarPlay button. It turns off sometimes for unknown reasons.
