I bought a 2014.5 hybrid and own a Sienna and a Highlander. I see many shortcomings in the Camry. First this vehicle has little if any tint on the windows and is like a greenhouse. The dealer says he can add tinting for something like $200-300. I think an XLE with NAV and heated seats should have tinted windows. Second is storage , where do I put a box of Kleenex or a waste container. Third -the glove box -open it and watch everything slide out. Fourth-I'm probably too fussy here but I miss a rear wiper. I think I'll stay away from smallish sedans and stick with SUV's.

1st off, welcome to the Nation. 2nd, I've never seen tint come as standard from the factory, you paid close to $30K on your Camry, what's an extra $200-300 for tint? 3rd, I keep a box of these inside the center storage console:

4th, rear wiper... that'd be a first on a passenger car. You're comparing the functionality of a Camry to an SUV, 2 vastly different vehicles, there will always be some give and take between what you choose.

I have the same car, overall we like it but have found several deficiencies.
1.) No seat memory, should at least have that on the drivers seat.
2.) The voice recognition could not be more of a joke. Sometimes it takes more than 10 miles to even work. Before that it says initializing. You gotta be kidding. Comically bad in actually recognizing your voice. Yet I can walk outside in a high wind and Google recognizes me on my phone. Toyota should just install Android Auto and have something that works.
3.) Way too many beeps and reminders, most of them should be programmable. For example if you need to put something in the trunk that is too big so the trunk lid won't close, like that garage sale your wife just has to go to to get that treasure, you get to listen to it scream at you the whole time. Just dumb.
4.) Lots of radio memories and that is good. But if later I want to delete a station you really can't. You should be able to do that and then all the other channels just ratchet up a number automatically.
5.) There should be a place to get more apps and allow me to delete the apps I don't want.
6.) The maintenance required display comes on automatically and the process to reset it is something only an engineer could love.

Buy Lexus. Or, Russian spec Camry. Will come with window shades.
I use my TCH for years as shopping car and have no problems with it. Though I like additional bottle storage in door pocket in my HiHy, it's nothing I would be complaining about for Camry. I also do not trash in my cars, so why do I need a garbage can inside?

lots of storage, my wife puts junk everywhere.. Toyota put lots of storage places and with covers too..we put some very good Tint on the windows $300.
