Yep. Mine was the rear. I had replaced front a lot earlier. About a yr later rear (firewall). That is when it started.

This is definitely in the electrical gremlin category as flicker is one of several causes in troubleshooting. The only difference here is non-DIYers go to mechanic where as DIYers are able to troubleshoot/replace one or more parts within or close to that expenses.

Some observations. Flickering happens more in cold weather. Sometimes in normal weather, none at all. More often little bit or faster flickering.

That is more difficult to disconnect. My alternator voltage is 12.7 to 13.8 when car is running with or without load
 
Well I got a driveway so I was able to reach easily on jackstands on driveway. I had to rethread after old one got stuck. Did it over a few days. Had to get a thread chaser after some help on the forum, etc. Alternator is good voltage at 14.28 with load and 12.7 to 13.7 with load. Been a few months since last check. Gotta do it again.
