I have a rear facing seat behind the passenger seat in my access cab, just beware, if you have a medium to large child seat the passenger seat will have to be moved forward a good bit. Check out your owner's manual, there is a lot of info on how to install chaild seats.

I don't have one yet I'm still researching - if I can get away with an Access Cab I think I will (instead of DC), but I will have to have the ability to carry a baby seat and mom up front - fortunately my potential mom is 5'3".

 

If you have any friends with babies or kids ask them to go to the dealer with you (with their baby seat and/or child seat) and let the salesperson put it in the rear of the access cab and in the rear of the Dcab.

Just a warning....those infant carriers are large and the rear facing child seat in my DC hits the back of the front passenger seat (in the position my wife sits in the front and she is 5'5"). I was in the same delema you are in.

 

I have a 7-month-old daughter, and it is a tight squeeze to fit a rear-facing child seat in the DOUBLE CAB. I really don't see how it could be done in an access cab. I don't think there would be enough room between the seats - or - enough rear seat depth to sit the car seat on. The best positions for me are in the middle of the back seat, or on the passenger side rear seat with the front passenger seat folded down. In the latter position, my wife sits behind me with the baby(usually in the middle).
