I just got the rear TSB done to my truck. While I had it in, I mentioned the vibrations I get at shift points. So, the dealer took some extra time and looked at it. They really did a nice job and covered all of the points that it could be. They eventually looked into the 15-25 mph TSB, but said they did all of the tests and it passed the inspections. Aparantley they even compared the vibrations to an '09. Also, they said that I was like 40 trucks outside the VIN covered by they TSB, but they looked into it anyway.
Anyways that's not really the point of this post. At one point right before I left, a tech came and talked to me about the truck. He asked if I had ever done any maintainence to it myself. I said no, so he said they looked at the LSD fluid and it was red in color, and it was supposed to be a golden color?
What would that have been? Is it possible one of there techs did something to it they weren't supposed to? It seems to be driving fine, but I wasn't sure if I should be worried.
Also of note, they topped of my transmission fluid. He said it was a half a quart low. He also said there were absolutely no signs of any leaks. Is that normal to be that low? I'm at 20,000 miles and have had regular service.
