It was time for a change so with the help from my buddy GrumpyX, we undid the clear headlights and did the black headlight mod. Thanks to GrumpyX for all his help.

They came out great. No scratches and I love the satin black finish. Please excuse the dirty truck. It's been nasty here in Houston.

Next are the angry eyelids which will go on later today. Then, I'm thinking about adding a satoshi grill.

Yeah man;that looks really good with your paint!I like the bhlm with all the colors except Indigo, unless you have a full black & blue theme going I think the Indigo looks best with the stock lights, just mho.

:thumbsup:Agreed. It took me almost 2 years to do the BLHM. I was unsure about how it would look. Once I did it I knew the reason why everyone does it. Now I have done 3 other guys in my areas truck. I am getting ready to put the flat black on my lower bumper. I have just been to lazy to do it. I got black vinyl from Sockmonkey. I think its easier than painting. Looks great man!

Those wheels would look good in gunmetal;I think the eyelids would maybe even look better black to match your grill & lower piece.

^Thanks. My buddy and I painted the headlights. It's not that difficult. Search on TN for the tutorial. You can buy black headlights but why do that when you can do it yourself. The angry eyelids were bought on ebay. There is a seller that has them listed from time to time. They come unpainted so you'll have to paint them yourself or take them to a paint shop. Eyelids were about $50 from ebay.

yeah i did the BHLM about a month ago. I also did the BHL snap your chrome housing in half like a retard who didn't remember which order he took apart the headlights. I fixed it with silicon and now you can't notice it unless you look at it. But I'm still glad I did it. That junk looks sick! I think it looks good on indigo too though.

Glad you liked it. You should do yours too. You already have matching wheels.

roboots21, I'm planning a little twist on the black bumper. Thinking about painting it black or vinyl and leaving the red bumps untouched. Speaking of vinyl add-on, is that permanent or can it be peeled later. I know if I paint the bumper, there's no going back but maybe vinyl is the more flexible option.

I agree with viet2100, what would be the point of black eyelids with the black headlights? I do appreciate your feedback on the wheels, buzz5.

That looks awesome man. I thought your truck looked great with the CHLM but the BHLM looks even better! I am also digging the eyelids AND the chopped black bumper insert. I went all the way down the bumper with my vinyl, you should p'shop that too.

Again, looks great!

I am wanting to get my wheels powdercoated black but everything i hvae read has basically led to me believing that chrome cant be, or is very difficult, to powdercoat..... is that the case? or can it be?
