New 2017 highlander limited owner here. Nice vehicle.
The highlander in my Birdseye view is white but my vehicle is maroon. Is there a way to change the color?
Thanks
Scott

Congrats!
Hmmm. That you might want to check the manual if possible. I have not heard this come up.

But, if you can get into the software it would be easy to change a graphic file. Just not popular for such hacks to be done.

White is a tone value, a shade, so you can ignore it, as it is neutral.

IF it bothers you and it is not an option to select another color on the Entune system....

I recommend getting some transparency film cut to the size and shape of the screen, and then trace the white painted area of the car with a pencil or something, and then you can use color markers to fill in the color of YOUR car! Each time you use the camera feature you can simply slide the transparency over the screen....BAM! you got your matching color.

I also have a white Limited Platinum! I think they could have developed it a little more to put the panoramic roof on it, as well as the matching color of the car. I was test driving a black LP and the Birds Eye view camera showed up as white! I still love it whether it isn't perfect or not. It was what made me get a Highlander over the Honda Pilot Elite. Sometimes I wish I had a Elite, like when I carry a lot of cargo and when my kids complain about not having a DvD player. Otherwise I like the HL.

Tell the kids to ZIP IT... and do some math problems on the ride. OR for trips, get a little holder for a tablet, setup your cell as WiFi Hot spot if need be, and if you get a tablet with a memory card slot...you got a DVD killer!

As for the cargo, I always have room for mroe things I can add, but for trips, I have a hitch cargo rack that I love.

A: I don't need you telling me how to deal with my kids and I already have. B: The tablet holder doesn't work with our iPads/Tablets. They all have crazy cases that won't let them be charged. We also we don't need the Hot Spot because all of our devices have LTE. I also have Google Play and Vudu on their devices for them to watch. It is just a lot less convenient and you can do Blu-Ray. Also, last touch about cargo, its the trips we are having problems with. We also have to carry a lot of stuff when we have a homeschool CO-OP days when we have a huge lunch cooler, book bags, a huge cart to carry it all in, and other assorted stuff. We also have to tote our dogs with us to a day camp every time we go. So, we barely manage to squeeze all of our stuff in. Also, keep in mind my husband doesn't come with us because he is working so there is a pile of stuff in the passenger seat. So, I appreciate it, but I am all covered!

Well good job #1_Seminole mom!
This is a bit of a whiners thread and we...well I... try and keep it lighthearted and fun.
So when it comes to personla replies, know that its from a humorous place and certainly isn't intended as actual advice....Nor is the transparency film to paint over, and that should be a clue to the tone of the thread.

Usually when I buy a new car, I look at the restrictions my last model had, and use those as a learning experiences in my next purchase....But everyone's mileage on such varies....
Have a good one!

Well, I must say I am sorry. I had a facebook fight off with someone who I thought was "joking" and was serious. So, sorry if I was a bit touchy. That is the problem with internet chat and stuff, is that you can never tell if they are serious or joking. Emoji's help a lot, but not enough. Anyway I just thought I would sort out the confusion. Thanks!

I should have added the jk with ;-)
..Which I often do. No worries. I need to try and make it a routine.

There is plenty info in these forums to help max out your space. I thought maybe to also mention if you have lighter bulky items that can be secured on the roof, it maybe something to consider a roof cross bar setup. This may sound odd, but have you thought of a closed utility trailer? you can have it setup for easy hook up. most stuff and dogs can go in it. There are custom trailer shops that build them. Maybe not ideal for a daily thing, but...The cargo rack on the hitch would be pretty great for the large cooler. It doesn't get in the way of opening hatch, and fold up out of the way when not needed. I bought the aluminum fame model, which makes it pretty light weight to do it often.

What topics do homeschooling co-ops omit in their curriculum? And what might they add? (You can PM/private message an answer if you prefer)

I think you have to have it in reverse and u can set it up to automatically come on. I can’t remember for sure as I only set it up once and never looked back. But pretty sure you start it up. Put it in reverse or neutral(maybe) and on the back up screen you have options there to make it auto on.

Funny thing about this feature and my 1/4 mile gravel driveway. It is either dusty or muddy so I tell the wife if the HL is clean she better be seeing this camera view on when she goes up and down the driveway or shes going too fast
