Serge, your Denso engine filter looks like it was made by Fram (quality and orange material).

 

I do not know. It is in denso packaging. I was not able to find factory denso filter around

Put in your year, model, powertrain, etc, and click "Add Vehicle".

Then scroll down to the "Maintenance" category. Click that. You'll see all of the common wear parts on the car, including those filters.

I see that it has a couple of different choices for the V6. For the cabin air filters, there are two grades of filter. For the engine air filter, I'm not sure what the difference is. Maybe it's an availability issue.

 

I'm about 30 minutes from one of Toyota's Parts Centers which ships to the smaller DCs and dealers around the country. Apparently they don't have the air filters right now, so I guess unless you find a dealer that already has the engine air filter in stock, you can't find Denso ones right now.

 

Denso is not a problem, but it is not the same as a factory one

 

Since Wix filters have the same or better filtration as OEM, just buy them from Amazon or RockAuto.com.

 

How do you know wix have a better filtration than OEM?

 

How hard was it to replace the engine air filter?

 

Can you open a shoe box, take the shoes out and put a different pair in?

Then you can do an engine filter replacement. Super easy.

At what miles should I do the replacement for the Engine Air Filter and Cabin Filter?

Call the parts dept at the dealership and ask.

 

Or find out for yourself. It's mentioned in the Maintenance and Warranty Guide book that came with the car. (Online versions here.) That book is laid out by service interval, not by item, so you have to dig a little to get a direct answer to the question. The search in Adobe Acrobat helps with that.

I found that it says to inspect both at every service, and replace both at 3 years/30K miles.

 

Is wix the only recommended brand? I'm having trouble finding oem filters and the few I find are marked up significantly
