Just wondering if anyone knows if the Camry will get the newer version of TSS this MY or is their some design requirement which prohibits the newer TSS from being added?

It will in 2021. But you really aren’t missing anything. I have it on my RAV4 Limited and the only cool feature is keep you centered in your lane. “Assuming” the cameras can see the lines to the left and right. Every time there is an exit off the freeway, more times than not, the car loses its ability to stay centered.
Also, you get an annoying warning if you hands stay off the wheel for more than a few seconds.
unless I’m going to be driving for 30 min or more, I leave that feature off.

If it's something you're interested in you have the 2nd best car (behind the new Corolla) to benefit from OpenPilot.

As for OP, yeah, I'd say the refresh will most likely get TSS 2.0 with the refresh which should come out for the 2021 model year. But no one really knows.
