Is there anyway to do this? That's the only thing I want that the XLE doesnt have. I wonder if there's a way to add that into our XLE's?

I would think the main thing is piping the AC air to the seats. If you don't have perforated seat skins, it maybe less effective.

I'm not sure how they have the OEM seats cooled, but I think the piping from the AC would be the easier way to go.

From yesterday's 70 degree weather, I am under the impression that you are correct about the AC air being piped in. During the winter you heating system first cools air. This explains why cold air would still come through during the winter if it is AC air. Has anyone confirmed this in a less emperical way?

Not sure about adding ventilation to XLE seats.

The Limited seats are Ventilated not air conditioned. They recirculate the cabin air so the cooler the car is inside the cooler the seats will be.

Yep, the ventilated seats just pull ambient air from under the seat, NEAR the HVAC outlet. HVAC air is not "piped in."

To add ventilated seats, you would need to buy the seats, then add the appropriate wiring and the switches. The cost of all that stuff might be equivalent to the price difference between the XLE and the Limited, plus you would likely get nothing for your "upgrade" at trade-in time.

Sdupp and RickC5 are right.... it's just 'air flow'.... not 'air conditioned' unfortunately.

On a hot summer day, guess what kind of air you will get blowing up through the perforations until all the heat is out of the car? Yep - hot air - not cooled air. Shame.

I couldn't agree with you less. I never had complaints when jumping in the car and cranking up the ventilated seats. And this was in summer weather at 90+ degrees. It actually help quite a bit actually and more than I think some folks give it credit for.
