CD/DVD Tray wont open

The DVD/CD tray on my 2008 Highlander wont open and the screen is showing "No DVD - Please insert map DVD". I've tried disconnecting the battery without any luck. After disconnecting the battery now I don't have radio or backup cam. Prior to that I just didn't have navigation. Anyone have this happen and know how to fix it?

the navigation dvd is located under the seat,a dedicated player.

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news...but sounds like the headunit is dying. Short of a removal and teardown to physically remove them, there isn't a whole lot to he done if a hard reset didn't fix it.

No its not. The amp us under the passenger seat, the 4 disc player and DVD nav drive is built into the unit behind the screen.

Welcome (unfortunately) to the dead headunit club. I had two OEM units fail. Replaced with aftermarket..

Search page 2 of threads and you will see a thread on someone who can put you in touch with possible repair. Unit needs to be shipped out though
