Communication Module Activation Complete

Hey guys! My car has gotten to where it does this what seems like fairly often, but it’s completely random. I’ll be driving down the road and a message will come over the speakers and say “Communication Module Activation Complete”. When I google it I see different sites saying that it’s what happens when the car has been involved in an accident. When I take it to the dealership they tell me they have no idea why it does it, but tells me to not worry about it.
Can anyone tell me what’s going on with it and why it’s doing this?

"When I take it to the dealership they tell me they have no idea why it does it, but tells me to not worry about it..."

OK, maybe it's just me, but if I got the 'they have no idea' answer, I'd go ballistic and ask to speak to the Service Manager and tell them to get Toyota Technical Support on the phone immediately and wouldn't leave until I had the answer. Completely, totally unacceptable in my opinion.

When ANY technical support/service department responds 'they have no idea'? That's precisely when to make a 'big stink'...It's their entire job description and mission to know or escalate to someone that does, or what's the point of having a service department for any electronic product and but especially for a top of the line model of Toyota? Do you think Samsung or LG can get away with that answer when servicing a $1,600 washing machine? 'We don't know why it does what it does?...' You can't do your family's dirty laundry...that's literally 'a big stink'...

For what it's worth, first hit on Google went to Reddit, looks like it could be related to the Dynamic navigation function on the premium audio?

Toyota CH-R Service Manual https://www.tochr.net/371/system_description.html says this is a part of the Safety Connect System. It describes

"Safety Connect performs ACN (Automatic Collision Notification), manual emergency calling, stolen vehicle tracking and roadside assistance service by, audio and data communications between the vehicle and call center through a cellular phone network. As shown in the illustration, when a collision is detected, the vehicle sends its location calculated based on GPS signals and the identification code of the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) to a call center. After the necessary information has been gathered, the call center will relay this information to emergency services. "

They talk about a " Voice Guidance Function", which, among other things, says “Communication Module Activation Complete” if/when "DCM Activation completed successfully."

Similar questions have been posed on PriusChat.

I'd tap the SOS button and ask the rep who responds.

This thread has really, really inspired me, so I'm going to start troubleshooting all the positive responses and successful completions I experience in the future. Heck, I'm retired, it can help fill out my days.
