Why go custom? Other manufactures already make boxes for our trucks!

 

If you know of someone that makes a box to those dimensions and opens at one end, please share the link. I've been searching high and low and not found much in the way of en-opening boxes.

That's the plan, I was just wondering if anyone else had done that and if they found the cost to be reasonable or way out of whack. Sometimes one-off local projects can be cheaper because you're dealing with a local guy, low overhead, and no shipping, and other times it can be nutty expensive because it's a one-off and not spitting off a production line.

 

It might by fun to try and make one yourself. The local high school near by had a free welding class with a Tig welder. You might want to look for something similar in your area.

 

TIG my friend takes a lot of practice to not have a hacked job.
