I wanted to customize my front emblem, a small but subtle touch. When people see it, I want them to think that you pay attention to detail

I wanted to add more touches of CF around my car so I decided to change the background of the front emblem from the "bumpy" look to the look of Real Carbon Fiber.

Made a DIY incase you guys wanted to know how to remove the front emblem or customize it as well. Total process took me more than 5 mins.

Enjoy! :chug:

Step 1: Use a small flat head screw driver and carefully tuck it behind the front emblem and pry it off the bumper. There will be 3 clips.

Ironman anyone?

Step 2: Separate the Chrome "T" emblem from the backing, again it will be the same three clips.

Step 3: Get your vinyl, carefully place it on the backing, make sure there is no wrinkles.

Step 4: Using your flat head, make 3 holes where the clips will go through the backing.

very nice!!! I will likely be doing MGM back but like my rear logo, paint it white to match my scheme.

Kudos, looks great and nice and simple write-up! I always thought you had to take the bumper off to get this off, as such, you get a "Thanks" from me!

Red Backing On Front Emblem

Okay, I did this mod today with the red vinyl behind the Toyota emblem. It was very easy to do once I got the emblem off as that was a little tricky. :headbang: I like the look though as it really ties into the red "S" 7 the red grill pinstripe. The red vinyl my wife had was a perfect match too. Plus I like the fact that if I get tired of it I can always change it.

For those of you that were thinking of the halo decal I don't think that will work as the black plastic piece is full of dimples that wouldn't allow a partial decal to stick correctly. Just an FYI. :D

It's pouring rain today & I took those pics in my garage. I'll take some next Saturday as I'm going on a cruise with my car club out to the Oregon coast & Astoria, OR & back through the coast mountain range of Washington. :D

I did that one by hand. I just talked to her about it though & I'm going to try & trace the front emblem so that she can scan in the image & see if she can than cut it with her machine. I'll keep you posted.
