I haven't seen any customization documentation from Toyota that says it can be done. However, this doesn't meant that it cannot be done.

I just press the lock button on the interior door handle and shut the door; or do the two finger thing on the outside door handle.

Unfortunately, walk-away auto-lock isn't something that is available on the Highlander.

I will say- it's hard to get used to after owning a Honda for several years. My last two Accords had the feature- but my 2023 Highlander doesn't. Hopefully Toyota adds it as a feature to new models in the next few years- it's a nice thing to have.

 

Guess it's just to hard to push a button or touch the door handle!!!

 

My local locksmith can test fobs to make sure they function properly. His prices are about 1/3 of what the dealer charges.
