great video for anyone with the 2.0 corolla. Just thought I'd share for anyone who hasn't seen already. Have a great day

I chose the 1.8 back in March because it has simpler fuel injection and a metal valve cover.

Not being a mechanic I figured an engine that's been in production about 20 years and sold millions of should be well known by them.

I briefly test drove both the 1.8 & 2.0 sedan and honestly didn't notice much difference if any.

My prediction is the Cross may well kill the 2.0 sedan & hatch in the next couple of years. Leaving the cheap 1.8 sedan as base model in toys NA range. Who knows. Just my opinion.

In most states in the US that have emissions inspections, you can't have an illuminated CEL and they check to see if the bulb is burnt out. Some, not all states, also execute a visual inspection of the car to make sure the emission controls have not been changed or tampered with.

In my state, there are some counties that don't run emission inspections anymore (more rural counties) and others that do all of the above. I lived in NJ in HS and the way you had to get around the emission check was very involved.
