Can I do one update at a time? Can only find a 1gb flash so cant do them all at once...

Didn't even know they still make 1gb flash drives. I don't know. To be safe, get yourself a usb flash drive greater than 2gb and less than 32gb. Only because if you go beyond 32gb then the format will be exFAT which won't work. But there is still a way to format a 64gb or 128gb flash drive into a FAT32.

Lol it's the only flash I can find in the house. I gotta go to best buy later anyway guess I'll pick up a 16gb. Thanks!

Yes, and it's updating fine. Can you remote start your car and lock and unlock?

also, the website for me says 11/15/18 but my app gives me 11/18/18...
Yes the remote start connect all works but I use an older version with my Samsung Galaxy S9+ because of bugs with the newer versions. Toyota says their working with Japan on trying to fix all this.

Toyota made some changes to the Android App today so it provides more info. The interface looks quite different. Since they worked on the back end Servers it has been stable for me.

Hey guys, I don't personally have a 2019 Camry but I have a 2018 Highlander which is great. But make to my question my dad just got a 2019 Camry XSE 4-cylinder with Entune Audio Plus. It was produced at the Georgetown plant on Sept 25 2018. So this brings the question up. Toyota Dealership and Toyota support in Texas both tried to get him up to firmware 1040 without any success. So one of the things that we noticed is the following version/model information on his Entune Headunit. Basically Toyota is thinking somehow an Avalon headunit ended up in his car. I'd be curious if anyone else has this issue or if they can post what model/version info they have especially in a recent 2019.

My dad's 2019 has the following:

That's interesting.. I don't think its Avalon though since all of 2019 Avalon's display unit part numbers are 86140-07XXX

I did find your part number here, https://parts.toyota.com/showAssemb...=7172789&ukey_make=0&ukey_model=0&ukey_driveline=0&ukey_trimlevel=0&modelYear=0 which it looks like it is for the Camry since the Camry's display part numbers are 86140-06XXX. The production date from 201809 or 09-2018. It doesn't say its Canadian but it might be. Or it doesn't work for 2019 Camry.

Anybody who has a 2019 Camry and tried to update using the update files, did it work??

I wonder if changing the USB port on a 2018 with a port from 2019 would enable carplay with this update.

The answer is NO. This was already discussed here. The upgrade should be a combination of a 2019 HU + 2019 USB port. Or a 2018 HU with firmware upgrade + 2019 USB port. Only Toyota knows for sure...

Edit: the 1040 update does not count as a firmware upgrade. These updates seem to be more of a SW update (they are changing some parameters values but not the parameters themselves). See difference between «*upgrade*» and «*update*».

In another thread a user installed new head unit and usb port into 2018 and still no CarPlay. There is something else needed.

I dont know if this is valid or the 2018 camry but this applies to the 2012-2017 camry so it may or my not be the same.... the usb ports on the older camrys and venzas don't directly plug into the head unit. The USB and aux ports first plug into a black box near the passenger side bottom dash area. from there the wires run out of the black box into the back of the radio.

What is the difference between the Plus and the Premium? Which one to use if you have the JBL system? Thanks.
the premium has the integrated navigation while the plus does not. So if you have integrated navigation, use the premium update files, if you don't have integrated navigation then use the audio plus. Both Plus and Premium can have JBL so JBL doesn't matter.

Only Premium has JBL (and native NAV, of course). This is true according to every 2018 Toyota Camry brochure I’ve seen. At least for CAN market....

XSE V6 and XLE V6 is standard with JBL with plus or premium for both 2018 and 2019. The XSE and XLE 4 cyl is optional with JBL. SE and LE don't have an option for JBL. The attached is from the 2018 eborchure.

Edit* USA eborchure, not sure about Canada.
Edit2* Here is the Canadian 2018 eborchure, https://s3.amazonaws.com/toyota.sit...pages/catalogue/camry/2018/brochures/18-camry-brochure-en.pdf?ck=01192019050924
And 2019 Canadian eborchure, https://s3.amazonaws.com/toyota.sit...pages/catalogue/camry/2019/brochures/19-camry-brochure-en.pdf?ck=01192019050924

Both the Canadian xse v6, xle v6 and xle hybird have jbl as standard. The Canadian 2019 Camry both XSE 4 cyl and V6 has JBL but only the XLE v6 has JBL.
