Yeah, I had a heart attack also when I asked the parts dude at my dealership. Where do those coolent lines hook up to? Looks like a simple install otherwise. Easier than adding another radiator type along with the tranny one?? Hey, look how much $$$ is spent on mods that don't do diddly!

 

Damn Lotust! How much is gonna cost to do the tow package with aftermarket/toyota parts on your own? The $500 above is only about $300 less than from the factory IIRC, and that doesn't include the hitch, wiring, alternator, tranny cooler, or bigger battery!

 

Ouch. It certainly looks like buying the truck with the tow package is the cheapest way to do it. I think the tow package should be standard, not an option. Its a good idea to have the coolers even if you never tow.

Maybe call Jacque at Trdparts4u and see if he can give you some better prices?
If not then i'd probably just not worry about the coolers. Just use good lubricants.
