I commute 2 to 5 hours depending on the job. At 75mph with cruise control on, what sort of mileage does a hybrid get? My thought is that once the battery drainsna bit then it will be like a regular Corolla and get similar mileage

Around 5-ish l/100 km (mid 40s mpg).
It switches back and forth between gas, battery, or both. The battery usually assists the engine in higher speeds and shuts off the electricity only if it needs to charge it, or you accelerate really hard. But it can also assist in acceleration.
The engine is Atkinson cycle so it’ll get better mileage than a regular corolla (which isn’t Atkinson) if you just compare gas engine to gas engine consumption.
I'm getting high 40's low 50's depending on the terrain at 75MPH. I notice I get better MPG if I don't use cruise than if I do as I can be lighter on the throttle.
I've always found this same thing to be true with every car I've owned.
