Hey guys I own an ee90 with 4af inside and recently I broke the rods and made my engine a piece of rubbish. So as things came this way I found an opportunity to go to the next level.a 4age BT.but there are things that concern me and I want you to help me.

I don't know what it takes to convert the carb to injection?Do I need all the wiring from the other car fit into mine or what?also do I need new lock with immobilizer keyes and all these stuff?I also heard that I need to change the dashboard..but if I do so will the dashboard and the lock fit in just fine as the stock parts?

If there's anyone that could show me the way,I would appreciate it.thank you in advance.

For conversion, it's best to get complete system from other car:

- 4A-GE engine, complete with all accessories, distributor, injectors, etc.
- matching harness and ECU (same year and version as engine)
- instrument cluster
- fuel-pump and lines
- intake tracts and AFM or MAP sensor to match engine & ECU
- exhaust

That should be minimum, I may have left out some items. These older ECUs doesn't have immobilizer. Dash can stay same, you just need the instrument cluster since the 4AF most likely uses mechanical speedo cable and coil-trigger for tach, while the 4A-GE uses electronic VSS and ignitor IG- for speedo & tach.

The 4A-GE uses a C52 tranny which uses mechanical speedo. Correct me if I'm wrong on that but it is mechanical on my 4A-FE's C52.

you say you have an EE92..... you sure about that? If so, then you don't have an A series motor, but an E series (like the Tercel).... if it's a 4af/4afe then it's an AE92 (yes the EE90 does exist).

If you have an E series motor then things could be different in simplicity of swap.

If you have a 4a in there already, then you'll need, at minimum:

Engine
Figure out exhaust (4afe/4age do not line up)
Figure out power steering and alternator (located on opposite sides of engine)
Wiring/ECU (modify stock or find 4age counterparts)
Find appropriate flywheel (if you plan to keep the stock trans)
If you keep the stock trans and want to keep the intake side starter, you will need to build a new intake bracket

Among other pieces....
