Take a look at the dash panel directly above the sliding lid. If you remove that you should be able to reach the culprit easily. Here's a series of pictures showing how the panel is removed. Essentially, open the glove box door. Use a small screwdriver or panel removal tool to pry the panel back working your way from bottom to top. You should be able to get your fingers inside the top of that panel to pull it straight back and away from the dash. Caution, there's a light attached so don't pull it too far back.

So I know this is an older post but does anyone know what that cover is called or where I can order one?? Mine was ruined by leaking hand sanitizer.
