You have one in the back sitting beside your jack... It's M18 x 2.5mm.

 

I'm assuming the 2.5 is the depth of the tow hole?

 

Did you end up getting one? If so which one?

 

Ahhhh okay. So, I picked up a tow hook that says it’s “18mm x 2.5mm. Can you explain on why it would still be loose?

 

Get playdoh and stick onto threads. Measure high point to high point. This will be thread distance. Measure lowest point to lowest point. This will be pitch. Then count number of threads. From there, take diameter of hole.

 

Damn. I just wanna know how wide it is hahaha. I got a tow hook that matches 18mm x 2.5 and it doesn't work.

The hole thing. Slides right in and doesn't feel like they are really catching.

 

Thats why I was trying to find out the size of the hole (width)

 

I just measured the tow hook that came with the car again, and it's still M18 x 2.5mm... I never removed the access covers to see how well it fits.

Can you measure the threads on the cheap Chinese tow hook you got?
