Make sure they're platinum plugs, otherwise you'll only get like, +30hp at the most.

why don't you read the FAQ on the top of the forum?

It tells you outright that the venom 400 and so forth is garbage.

further more, spark plug wires are a measure to prevent hp loss, not gain hp.

the way an engine works is in a couple key components (that are relevant to making power):

1) air intake: (not the material object, but the action), the more air in, the better, you can supercharge, you can turbocharge, you can get higher compression pistons, you can get new cams (higher lift), you can port the head, you can get a custom intake manifold, etc...

2) exhaust output: you can have a new Y pipe welded up (or weld one yourself), new headers, cat delete, high-flow cat, new catback

3) fuel system: the purpose of this for power is to keep up with other associated mods. you must be able to maintain a good air to fuel ratio, which sometimes can require upgrading the fuel system. some of the parts needed: fuel pump, fuel rail (occasionally) and fuel pressure regulator. for tuning purposes EMS or a piggyback computer will be a huge benefit.

4) compression: this again is where a supercharger or turbocharger will come in handy. the alternate route is larger pistons.

5) displacement: you only really have 2 options here, bore increase or stroke increase, either way, expect to spend money.

the ignition part is fine so long as you aren't missing or getting terrible throttle response. you'll likely get little (if any) increase in power from new plug wires, unless there's something wrong with your old ones. don't waste your money.

Dump the clutch at around 3g's and you'll probably get very little wheel spin.

Second, TRACTION is the major key here since you have a FF car. Get some aftermarket suspension (Probably eibach will be your best bet or some adjustible coilovers like TEIN or JIC) and get stickier tires, like street legal drag radials and lower your tire pressure.

thax ill try the lowing tire pressure.. never really thought about that
so E brake start bad idea ?
dont lay rubber.. but just keep it reved then release E brake ?
( and i dont wanna know how fast i go to 0-60.. i allready know.. i wanna know the Fastest and best way to get there :) )

lol i know what factory settings are
but .. i wanna know what method i should use to start off the line
Popping Clutch.. E brake Starting
or Ebrake.. Spin tires then let off E brake..
and if so.. which RPM should i hold each method :)
which is best method for Camry V6 Gen 4

If you want a better 0-60 time, either increase the power of the engine, increase available traction, or use a shorter gearbox. The MR2's 4.285 differential ratio is about 8.2% shorter and will reduce your top speed, but increase 0-60mph time with tighter gearing. It'll also become harder to manage because of the 1MZ's torque curve. The main advantage of the tighter gearbox is to keep the engine in its peak torque range during upshifts. You'd basically eat up tires with that diff. ratio if you launch with too much throttle, and the engine would rev at about 3500rpm at 80mph. Not the greatest considering gas prices these days.

new tires is all i can think of... Wider tires ?? without Rice look
dont want tires sticking out of frame.. i dont knwo if i want to put wider tires. probly not worth it.. to heavy.. i like my mid weight lil cer... so.. GT performance tires or something..... will V Exaust give me better performance than just straight perfermance exaust ?

With tires, just get a better compound. High performance summer tires will do. If you want to go all out, get drag radials that have sidwalls that will collapse.

Try clutch dumping at the 1MZ's peak torque rpm (4400RPM) for all of the 209 lbs-ft of torque, you may experience a little wheel spin, but it is minimal and the launch is sweet. Good luck
This is what im sayin! Once you get used to it and can feather the clutch, the car leaps forward with traction. Makes it feel a lot faster than it really is.

I say get them tires that have the one way ROTATION..if you know which tires im talkin about..i use to have some regular tires..(Dont know the Name) but they were sorry..mah 1/4 mile time was high 17s..now that i got these tires on..improve me by .8 of a second..Spark Plugs with do Good only if you have worn out ones..I got mah Denso Iridium Plugs for $60+..and NGK wires for $60+..It picks up better..i guess its because my old ones were Worn out??But yea man..Get better tires..and better tuning and you should get a better 0-60 tyme..:)
