Since the 92-94 headlights are different from the 95-96 ones, are both getting made?

As I have said before, the variation in the design is one big impediment because it doubles the up front re-tooling costs. If you can convince the 92-94 owners to take the 95-96 headlight (and grill) or vice versa, it would make the payout more attractive for the manufacturer and increase our chances. I just don't see why anyone with business sense would make the initial investment to make two different sets of headlights for the Gen3s, which is a very tiny market to begin with.

 

I'd go for Solara projectors.

 

I would be willing to get in on it, but I don't have a lot of money to spend, therefore, I can't be positivly sure.

 

I vote for 92-94 projectors in gen 3. There's more of us... so its only logical.

guys, all see what i can do. i am starting with the 92-94's first because thats what i drive. if i can get enought people interested, and get them in the works, then ill move on to the next most popular year. i am cumpiling a list, and sending it to them at the end of this week. if you know of others that are not on the forums, please pass the word.

Ummm doesn't the late gen 4s come with projector headlights already??? I know the 2000-2001 does. What are you getting all excited for? :lol:

Nope, they're just "freeform" not projectors.

I have a 94 and I think those have a better look to them than the 95-96 camrys so I'm voting for 92-94 cams

Can I make a small suggestion, if you want this to work well, and you seem to, why dont you push for another week, its hard to gather THAT many people in so little time.

another thing, is there anyway(looking for some experiance people here) that they could be desinged to fit both? maybe a filler plate or new girl. something simple and cheap?

 

I guess a 95-96 could look to do a filler plate or extended grill and then use the 92-94 design. I think that the height is the same, so it should be a possibility. Exact measurements would have to be done to be sure.

Don't forget the lettle indentation in the bumper where the headlight ends.
