General Motors Co. said today it is recalling 243,000 crossover vehicles over concerns their second-row safety belts could be defective. GM said the recall covers 243,403 vehicles -- the 2009-2010 Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook -- "to inspect second-row safety belts for damage that in rare cases could make an occupant think the belt is properly latched when it isn't."

As someone who's driven the Acadia, its a decent crossover. The only thing about the 2nd row seats that did give me some pause is the way the 2nd row folds, the mechanisms can get stuck if the seat belt holder is in an awkward position. Still, better than the crude system in the Dodge Journey which fails to work when the seat belt holder sometimes is in the correct position but still gets stuck. This is where Ford is still much better, the Flex is one of easiest vehicles to fold the 2nd row seats...just a push of a button. Oh and seat belt holders are secured so having them flop around isn't an issue. Even the manual operation of the Explorer is very easy. It seems Ford has hired a person who hates the complex difficult systems a lot of automakers use to fold 2nd row seats to design theirs. I wish Ford developed the stow n' go seating...I've operated the system plenty of times and I still find it an absolute pain to use...I can't believe some mothers have the strength to pull the stupid thing out sometimes.

I like the Enclave, Acadia, and Traverse. Although out of those three, I would probably lean more towards Acadia and Enclave if I were in the market for a GM crossover. The styling of the Traverse seems a little generic.

The Envoy and Trailblazer, easily one of the worst built vehicles (IMHO of course) that passes through my bay door almost every day.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining :D , keep it up GM. Thanks for the new hot tub .

Gosh come to think of it I even had a 06 GS 300 in today, oh oh NOT A LEXUS.. lol say it isn't so.

I guess we better get back on topic or this thread is gonna get locked down soooooon.
