in my mr2..... i removed the blown bigport 4age and swapped in a smallport 4agze.... running on a DIY fuel injection (aka stand alone ecu) setup and edis4 ignition

You're in Cali, right?

Go to PJ Bonafacio's shop, he has a 3SGTE in a AE86.

There is also a TE27 shown in Super Street that has a 3SG.

Engine swaps in Corollas are very common.

yes many peolpe have done a 4agze and a 4age....But when u do it, its going to be some hard work, you;ll going to need a lot of stuff and man if u can't do the wireing i say don;t do it.....Yes its worth the swap man.......

 

the other thing you can do its a 4age head on to a 7afe block.......

7A-FE is just a touch behind the B18A. The hp figures aren't that great, but it's torquey as hell. My bro's friend's mom's car was doing a good job holding up against my brother's 93 teg. That's with a 5 speed though.

And from 4A-FE to 4A-GZE was day and night. Went from being beat on by Civics to taking down V8s.

Yeah, there are places in Montreal that import them and they have good prices usually.

BTW I just finished swapping a 2ZZGE into a '98 Corolla, and I have a '92 Corolla at my shop awaiting a 4AGZE.

I got a 95 AE101/7afe with a 20V4AGE sittin with ECU/harness/auto tranny and I can't find anything stating that the 7AFE drive axles will not work with swapping this engine. Nor does anyone even mention the issue at all. CLUB4AG stated for AE86 that ALL A series engines will swap(will mine?), or can I take ANY 4ag car year and body and use it's bits to my 4age tranny. It's all I need to know so I can get this blasted thing checked into the shops. Or look at dealers since I can't find just a set of axles and need to go Junkyard Hunting.

wow 7agze i don't now much about it, but sound good to me and a lot of work and its going to be fast... have fun if doing a 7agze heheh 7afe block with a 4agze head and with supercharge...........Nice about 200 hp......

 

im in the process of putting a 4age 20v blacktop in my geo prizm and the only problems i have had was power steering lines and wiring ..... if the 7afe has the same drive shafts than a 4afe then they should work as long as you pull the half shaft and brackets off the back of the block.

 

what axles you use has NOTHING to do with what engine you put in your car. which axles are required is dependant on what transmission you have

 

o ok than the newe tranny must be simular to my old one then because i dont have any problems by the way the new tranny isnt a 6 speed its a 5 speed so that probably could have made the difference

 

The axles are all interchangable for all C series boxes, that applies to 6speed and 5speed.

 

well, if you get into gze's then no.... e51, e58, and e58 lsd axles are different
