Hi. The touch screen in my 2013 Camry LE is acting up. I've done research and know the only real solution is to replace it.
I'm thinking of going aftermarket so I don't have to deal with this again in a few years.
1) Can anybody recommend any good aftermarket units in the $500 or less price range? I want bluetooth, ideally a USB port so I can still play music from my flash drive, and I'd also like to add an aftermarket backup camera while I'm switching the head unit. I don't need a DVD drive but it would be nice.
2) If I also buy the more expensive installation package (from Crutchfield) that has the iDatalink kit, will all the steering wheel controls and the car-specific settings in the original head unit continue to work in the aftermarket unit? I know they're all SUPPOSED to work, but I'm asking if from experience they actually do all work?
3) I've done a stereo install before and have a friend who can help me so I'm not worried about getting it done. Having said that, how complicated is this project and are there any gotchas to be aware of, or just anything I should know before I order, or to help me choose a good unit?
Thanks!
