I have a thread about my 2009 Camry SE pulling to the left. The shop I went to is very reputable and a 5 star ⭐ Rated shop. They told me that my rack and pinion is on it’s way out. They use Cardone remanufactured parts. From google and YouTube I have not read good things about their products, anyone use any Cardone parts?? Experiences ?? This shop gives you a 2 year 24,000 mile guarantee on their parts and labor, any input would be appreciated.

No experience with Cardone but have used several racks from Detroit Axle on various Toyotas and so far so good with 2 of the 3 in use for well over 2 years/24k miles. They have a lifetime warranty but I haven't read the fine print since I haven't needed it. You do have to send in your old unit as a core to get that warranty. Just an option.

Thank you,
I know some one that swears by Detroit Axel. I have an appointment for Monday morning with this shop. There is a Toyota Dealer 70 miles south who has a brand new oem rack and inner tie rod ends for $511.00 plus $43 dollars tax. Internet price ,I called them today and they told me it comes from a warehouse in NY and I would not get it in Massachusetts until Tuesday, I may call them . To see if they can get it by Saturday and I would drive down to get it. Thank you,

You might want to look at pricing, and what's available at rockauto.com
(And BTW, one choice is a remanufactured rack by Cardone)
Toyota OEM parts are generally not magical, they're usually just the most expensive choice

Thank you Riick

Yes I did look at Rock Auto as I have bought parts from them before. And for the most part I figure that Rock Auto would not sell junk since they have a good reputation. All of the stores up here in the northeast, Auto Zone ,Napa, Advanced Auto, O’Reilly’s and Pep Boys all sell Cardone Racks. Maybe their quality has gotten better.
