Ideas to seal gaps between hatch and body

This gap between the hatch and body really bothering me. This gap collects all the dust, pine needles, moss (in PNW), pollen and turns into green mush eventually and not easy to clean. This also enters between the body and taillights.

This has been a perennial problem with most hatches, some are worse than others. Recently for a week my Venza was used by my wife and parked at her work. It collected so much pollen, green moss kind material from trees around along with dust around the hinges, cables. Rain on tops of it did not do any favors. This stuff is not easy to clean either with limited access/gap.

I added seals on the side as an experiment for now.

I was thinking of adding seals at the top like we added additional seals to door edges. But this at the hinge point and without any seating surface it is tricky. So, I was looking for any good ideas/suggestions to address it.

NOTE: Ignore the reflection of Garage door in the photo.

I'd imagine you'd need to take the spoiler off in order to properly attach a seal at that top gap.
I found this seal strip on ebay- but being installed on the outside, it may be unsightly

The way hatch operates, the top portion of the hatch goes down(lowers) when hatch is opened.
I am thinking using this seal upside down sticking to door at the edge. But the concern is, any sealing pressure is because of glue.

I was wondering if there any other alternative ways of sealing.
