From the picture, we can easily see that the wire cover is about gone for both the wire on top and the one lower (tired together with radiator hose). Is this going to be a problem down the road?

It's just a protective wrap/tube that actually covers the main alternator cable and misc cable for something else.
You'll be okay as long as nothing is rubbing/cutting/biting on the actual cable underneath it. This tends to happen to a lot of Camry. Think you can put some other wiring tubing if it bothers you to look at it. I know it would for me lol.
As noted it is just a cover. If you wish to there are wire covers available at places like Autozone. They are split lengthwise so you just cut off what you need and fit it over the other wire.
The product to fix that is called split loom ... available by the foot from your favorite parts store ... Try the 'N'store. The reason to replace it is to keep engine heat from deteriorating the wire insulation. ... More of a long term problem.
if you are budget conscious like me, you can also get "uncut" wire loom that is cheaper (sometimes $2-3 shipped for a 10 foot roll depending on inner diameter and the current demand) but thinner. the other downside is that you would wait for weeks for delivery but for my non-critical use it works for me.
Here is a photo the wiring cover I got at NAPA. Maybe the plastic one would work as I have zip ties holding this in place and the plastic hasn't melted.... This replacement one is holding up very well and its been on there for 4 or 5 years though and gives me piece of mind. The positive battery cable cap broke and I used a battery clamp cover to cover it up, been working great also for years.
In the past, when I needed something tougher and more heat resistant (or rodent resistant) to protect wiring, I fitted a suitably sized piece of fuel line or heater hose, sliced lengthwise.
Thanks a lot Mark. Liked your idea right away. I put two pieces of vacuum hose on two of the three exposed wires. I also put electric tapes and zip ties at several places to secure them. This worked out better than split looms b/c it is a lot easier to tape and zip tie flat hoses. Now the setup looks clean and secure.
The only one left exposed is the one on top with a green line. My vacuum hose's insider diameter is not big enough. Will get to it another day. But it is much better constructed than the other two. So all is good now.
Best regards. One more thing got done b/c TN's help. Very grateful indeed.
