It's done, replacement time.

 

Looks like the two parts are no longer aligned. Inner part not flush or parallel with the outer part and it wobbles. I think it's time for a new one.

 

+3. It's dead. The rubber between the inner hub and outer sheave is letting loose.

 

Is there any recommended brand for this pulley? New OEM looks too expensive.

 

Fabest is usually really good. Disclaimer: I have not used their harmonic balancers.

 

I bought mine from 1aauto. It's made from china, seems to be well made, everything was aligned properly. Great fit and so far it's working well.

I got a Chinese 'Dorman' replacement at Pep Boys last Summer for about $95. They're probably all made in China now, unless you shop at a Toyota dealer. Mine fit perfectly and seems to holding up just fine.

Thanks for your feedbacks, I'll go with aftermarket as well. Mine is about to give up, toyotapartszone returned $179 for this pulley, partnumber 13408-74041 (tax/shipping excluded)!

 

Heck, you might find a good one at the salvage yard for cheap.

 

Except that, unless the one in the salvage yard got replaced recently, the rubber part might be as old as the one on your car that failed.
