Japan vs US Part fitment/Quality Question

I'm having an issue with my mirror caps and B Pillar molding melting on my US built 2019 Camry. Parts (8791533030C0 , 75761-061600). I'm wondering if the Japanese version of these parts are made to a higher standard and may be more resistant to melting. Anyone know if the fitment is the same?

Solar conversion like this happens when building are built with a certain curvature ect amplify the heat on the ground or in a certain area. It is a problem with certain places around the world. The Vdara hotel here being one of them. You don't have to park near glass buildings you could be quite some distance away depending on the height ect. If you work somewhere or park somewhere regularly like that too even for short periods of time, 20-30min is all it would take.

Really the only 2 places I park for extended time is school and home. At school I’m either in a garage or a wide open lot. At home I park in a lot with cars all in the same environment. None of the cars around me are melting such as my roomates 2000 4 runner. Only logical conclusion is cheap plastic. I never park in a big city with large glass buildings. The car is permanently garaged from May-August

I saw scotty's video too. Hope Toyota corporate helps you with this. FWIW, on my 2018 J-Vin I have no such issues, but of course it is garaged in the evenings and sits out in the sun during work hours. Also, there's probably hundreds of thousand 4T Vin owners who don't either. Could it just be a bad batch of plastic?

There is a big problem with this. Scotty Kilmer just did a video about it within the past couple days and went right after Toyota! A guy with an XSE went to Scotty with a melted mirror and B pillars also. If I remember, get it documented with Toyota ASP. I think he had a 19 or 20 model Camry. I do not believe there is a fix but I would also call toyota customer service. Demand a repair.
Good luck!

OP said his car is the same as the one in Scotty’s video. I assume that meant this car is the one in Scotty’s video.

LETS NOT HIJACK THE THREAD BY DISCUSSING OIL CHANGES!
Could the parts be sourced from more than one manufacturer? What with so-called called 'world wide' supply chain it seems unlikely could there be more than one supplier of these parts. Since the car was bought used is it possible that these could be after-market or replacements??

It's as if I did not post on this already based on Scotty Kilmer doing a video on this! It went over like a fart in church. That just because I said it. Kind of like when President Obama says something and is praised for it and then President Trump says almost the exact same things and his is a NAZI!

In this case I do not think it is a Japan vs America issue it might be?

It is true the plastic connectors on American made vehicles are garbage compared to those same connectors on Japanese made cars and the rubber parts like motor mounts and struts also seem to be vastly support on JPP vs NPP cars. The NPP cars have much more comfortable seats though.
