It's all getting replaced every last bit I just need ideas of what parts I can use and where to get em from

 

You might consider a 1ZZ-FE out of 97'.
Or freshen up yours and add this Turbo Kit.
They also make the kit for the 1ZZ-FE.

I have thought about a swap amd if I was gonna swap it it woul be with a 2aze from a tc but I have 2 4afe's so imma build my extra one and boost it I rather i like the underdog fewling know what I mean

 

Talk to the machine shop you plan on using, deck the head for some compression and go with some forged pistons and rods if you can find them. As you already know that engine isn't really supported for performance upgrades without using forced induction from the start.

Not everyone hates them. They’re a fuel economy engine, not a powerhouse, and the reason people suggest other engines is because for half the money you’ll spend trying to make a 4afe fast, you could have another engine with nearly twice the power. That’s all.

Take the bottom end parts out of a 4agze as they will be forged and direct swap. The block is the same. Any 4age or 4agze bottom end parts will work. As for head, not much can be done except custom. You might be able to shave off a small amount from the head to increase compression. But if you are going turbo or sc then you'll want to use a thicker head gasket to lower compression instead. Any trans that will mount to a 4age will also mount to a 4afe. If you plan on building any sort of power the stock trans connected to your 4afe won't be able to hold much. Also, you can swap to a 6 speed from a later year 4age to get better gearing while maintaining fuel economy.

Shouldn't be too hard to turbo with a custom manifold. I would imagine with a built 4afe you can probably push it pretty far. The head is going to be your fight though. There's a reason why the 4age exists, it has a way better head.

Don't forget supporting mods to this as well. Stiffer engine mounts, better suspension, wider wheels and wider tires, and don't neglect brakes!

 

Thank you and its on coilovers already with a set of drag Dr 20's 15x8 I think and the head is a huge problem seeing how I can't find legit any parts to upgrade it

 

 

You will not find any parts to upgrade the head. You will have to go 100% custom made for it. The valve angles are vastly different between a 4age and a 4afe to the point that nothing will work. Nobody made performance parts for it, why would they when the 4age was designed for power and was relatively common. You might be able to get a shop to grind your cams but that's about it really.
