I'm not sure? I might just rattle can it close to my truck color? I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Here's the bar, I got a 48" piece of black pipe from HomeDepot.

Cut it to 40" and bent the ends.

I turned down bar ends on the lathe out of stainless steel:

This gives you an idea of how much space there is between the bumper and the bar. Should be enough for some 8" lights.

I used a conduit bender that we have at work. Made it really easy.

Now I have to work on the mounting brackets.

I don't know what kind of lights you going to install on your light bar. I'm sure you'll get the top of the line. But I was wondering; have you thought about where you going to feed the wires for the lights? On top or under the bumper.

I was just discussing that with my buddy. I was thinking of running the wires inside the tube. Which means I need to drill some holes after I mount the tabs.
I'll most likely run the wire down the brackets into the bumper.

So Toku, are you definetly getting 8" lights? I think the 8" lights may cover up some of your TOYOTA emblem won't they? That wouldn't be any good!

Ah? I already thought about that that's why I needed to shorten the brackets. Even with the lights you should still be able to see the Emblem!:thumbup:

Well if they don't fit that great you can always get 6" lights. I wouldn't get rid of either the grille or the light bar since you put so much time and effort into them. Not to mention they look good!!:thumbup:

I had some time to mock up the bar just to see what kind of clearance I would have. Looks like I'll have a lot of room?

Anyone with a light bar know if this is too much or too little clearance?

I'm still debating on lights so I won't know how much clearance I'll actually need.

I'm not in a big rush for this project. Sort of half heartedly doing it?:dunno:

My priority is my Wet Okole seat covers.
