Multi-information Display in Daylight

I just got my 2019 Avalon Limited. Overall, I'm quite happy. However, I do have one significant irritation. Does anyone else find the Multi-information display (especially the fully loaded info screen selection) difficult to read in bright daylight? Cloudy day, not bad. Night, quite visible. But in bright daylight, I find it a struggle. Previous Avalons have had the same problem on different components. On a 2016 Avalon, heaven help the driver who, on a bright day, wanted to glance over and see the outside temperature.

No problem in mine. The display during the day is set to high and at night goes to a lower light level, otherwise it would kill your night vision. I can see where depending on the angle of the sun it might hit the display in a way that you could not easily see it, but that should be rare.

Just a thought.....
Are your headlights on, or are they on Auto?
If they are on, I believe the display will drop to the night-time brightness. If they are on Auto, then the sensor on the dash will set the day/night mode, and it will follow the day/night display on the map screen.

At night with the lights on, there is a "notch" at the very top of the scale... with a rotary switch it's a physical "bump"... that locks the display into full daytime brightness 24/7.
Of course, the Avalon just has up/down arrows, but it acts the same way, and there is a significant brightness difference between "Full" and the brightest "night" setting.

Sounds like your display may be stuck in the "night" setting and not all the way up to full for some reason.

When you operate the arrow buttons, you see a slider bar across the bottom of the display showing how high it is?

Get some anti glare screen and cut-shape it to fit the instrument cluster. If you remove an instrument cluster bezel, it would be much easier to install it. Never had a similar issues (all my cars with digital screens were tinted thought), but I was using an anti glare screen on an old delivery truck and 2007 Camry before it got tinted.

Do be careful, the plastic Toyota uses on the dash display is extremely soft and susceptible to scratches, supposedly even using microfiber, though I haven't encountered any issues, but I also don't let my dash get too dusty and don't apply a lot of pressure when wiping.
Been a common complaint for a long time.
