It looks like you have a limited, with no automatic climate controls or heated seats?

 

its a hybrid one. ill be getting aftermarket heated/cooled seats installed. I need the cooled for this corpus christi heat and the cheat for when I PCS in the next year or two.

 

V6 Wood Trim = Cherry Red-ish

Hybrid Wood Trim = Light Wood

 

if its a true hybrid, it wouldn't have any wood

 

what is your the steering cover? Where did you get it and how much

 

i got it at walmart. i dont remember the exact cost but it wasnt more than 10 bucks.

One of the best things about Mods is that they allow each of us to express our individuality with our ride. It is a wonderful gift to live in America and have the freedom of choice. If for example we do not care or can not appreciate what someone else has done we can alter the process to our liking.

Often times when we see something which is not quit exactly what we would want...we can take away an appreciation for what someone else has done and build upon or alter the initial concept to our "personal" liking.

I personally don't like it, but I don't like anything aftermarket. It makes sense to save yourself $1500 over a factory nav unit!

 

Garmin 760 or 765 will do much better then factory or aftermarket built in unit. All car built in GPSs will go the way car built in phones went.

 

with (most) external GPS' you cant have video input. Perfect for my Zune output. It's like having a 7 inch jukebox in my car.

 

It depends what you're looking for. If you need a video player then get one. If you want a reliable GPS with quarterly map updates and live traffic then get a dedicated unit. Added benefit of portable GPS that you can take it with you when travel without your car. GPS technology evolves fast, you can buy brand new Garmin every year for the price Toyota charges for the map update DVD.

 

Or if you want all of it - get Pioneer F500BT... I have one mounted in my car: bluetooth, rear view camera, iPod integration (shows movies, music videos, music), GPS, Google 411, MSN direct (traffic, weather, gas prices, movie times), SD car slot for more music, movies), mutes your radio for directions/music/video/phone calls.
AND if we take wife's car or travel somewhere - i just take the unit with us and use it with suction mount in the other car.

 

I prefer the integrated look. I heard really bad issues with every model in the F-series of pioneers. As for the costs of upgrading the map, it's free, you just gotta know where to look....

 

Sure, everyone got their preferences. I also hate the look of wires hanging down and such, that's why my portable F unit is actually hard wired into the car and mounted where multi-function screen/clock goes.
