I am brand new to posting on this forum...actually this is my first post EVER on any forum or on the web period. Y’all have been such an amazing help with everything since I have gotten this car 10 years ago and have done many DIY fixes that have save me tons of money. I have never brought my car into the shop (to get screwed by them) and have done everything myself sense the beginning. So here it goes for my first post. Hoping someone can help me out.…As I was replacing old hoses on my 2001 Toyota Camry four-cylinder 5SFE engine I broke a piece off that looks like a sensor and need to get another one but no auto parts store can identify what it is. The piece in question is between the MAP sensor vacuum hose and the back of the intake manifold. It actually screws into the intake and connects to the MAP sensor vacuum hose. So it goes: MAP sensor, vacuum hose connected to MAP sensor, THEN THE PIECE IM TALKING ABOUT THATS SCREWED INTO BACK OF INTAKE, then intake. I assume it’s some sort of pressure sensor (could very well be wrong) but as I stated previously, no auto parts store can tell me what it is so that I can get the piece to replace it. Here are the pics of the back of the intake where it screws in to and then the actual piece (front and back).....
Hopefully these pictures show up. If not let me know and I will get on top of it right away. AAAAANYWAYS let’s see what you guys are made of. I hope to one day be able to give people advice and help them as much as everybody in the posts have been able to help me. Thank God for this forum.
